Subversive preservation explores the tension between devotion and desire, piety and play. Drawing from visual vocabularies associated with embroidery, Christianity, and traditional conservation practices, the work embraces a sense of irreverence—revealing how beauty can conceal, seduce, and subvert. Color is used not simply to decorate, but to shift atmosphere. Red and black invoke temperature and tension, veiling and exposing the white ground beneath. These layered surfaces become a stage where restraint gives way to mischief, and sacred forms hold quietly naughty undertones. Clay remains the primary material—a medium of fragility, coolness, and historical weight. Yet it does not stand alone. Thread brings tactility and domestic resonance; wax offers warmth and preservation; wood introduces a primal grounding. Each element supports and challenges the others, creating a delicate balance between care and disruption. This is preservation not as stasis, but as transformation—subversive in its softness, and bold in its restraint.

『subversive preservation（反転する保存）』は、献身と欲望、敬虔さと遊び心の間にある緊張感を探る作品です。刺繍やキリスト教、美術保存の伝統的な視覚言語から着想を得ながらも、あえて反逆的な姿勢を取り、美しさがいかにして覆い隠し、誘惑し、転覆させうるかを示しています。

色彩は装飾のためだけでなく、空間の雰囲気を変えるために用いられています。赤と黒は温度と緊張を呼び起こし、白の下地を覆い隠したり露わにしたりします。これらの層状の表面は、抑制がいたずら心に取って代わり、神聖な形象の中に密やかな遊びを宿す舞台となります。

主な素材は陶土であり、その冷たさ、もろさ、歴史性を作品に宿しています。しかし陶は単独では存在しません。糸は触覚性と家庭的な響きをもたらし、蝋は温かさと保存の機能を果たし、木材は原始的な土台としての存在感を与えます。これらの素材は互いに支え合い、時に緊張を生みながら、配慮と撹乱の間に繊細なバランスを築き上げています。

ここでの「保存」とは、静止ではなく変容を意味します——柔らかさの中に反抗を秘め、抑制のなかに大胆さを潜ませています。

《subversive preservation（顛覆式保存）》探討了信仰與欲望、虔誠與遊戲之間的張力。作品汲取刺繡、基督教視覺語彙與傳統修復工藝的形式語言，卻又帶有一種不敬與挑釁的趣味——揭示美如何掩飾、誘惑、甚至顛覆。

色彩不僅用來裝飾，更用來轉化氣氛。紅與黑召喚出溫度與張力，交替地遮蔽與揭露底層的白。這些層層堆疊的表面成為舞台，在其中，節制讓位於調皮，神聖的形式中潛藏著微妙的曖昧。

陶土依然是主要材料——帶有脆弱、冰冷與歷史負重的質感。然而，它並非孤立存在。線材增添了觸感與家庭性的聯想；蠟則象徵溫度與保存；木頭帶來一種原始的穩定感。這些材料彼此支撐又互相挑戰，在關懷與擾動之間構築出一種細緻的平衡。

此處的「保存」並非靜止，而是變化的過程——在柔軟之中蘊含顛覆，在克制之中閃現果敢。
